Love can sustain love

And only love can sustain love
For everything else it sees is black.
Ambush might force it to walk on side
You may decide to skip it
Or maybe fry the froth.
All this and more, for how long?
When one day it will all trickle like marbles
And you’ll find yourself wounded on the ground.

And only love can sustain love
For war will only rook out of your inheritance
And loneliness will tether your life.
Lying in the abyss of guilt and regret
You will realize then, what took a madman to be senile.

And only love can sustain love
Or else your love will become posthumous
Other men will cherish your ailing journey
Will sigh at vertigo and delight at every climb
You might become philosopher, mentor and whatever of people
In your heart you will call yourself squalor every time.
