A Dog

In the queen's palace
there's a dog
closed inside a shack
and feeded the leftover gravy
just before skin shrinks
to burst inside.

The kingdom
is desolated
in the king's absence.

Dog may be loyal
but is, a dog
not a tiger,
not a king.

Can howl, can bark
but can't dictate like a king,
Can walk, can sniff
but can't hunt like a tiger.

These kind of lame dogs
can only come to one use.
They should be barbequed
and served to prisoners.
