Today, as I meet myself, after long
I take a hand out of my shallow pocket
and shake it with the other one,
squeezing gently.
My watch had lost its time
but now, it's moving, showing 3 a.m.
Dark, though not scary
and the after rain is smelling sweet.
I listened to street dogs first time
without myself speaking anything.
I'm talking about those younger ones
cute, soft puppies, playing along.
I don't have to climb Everest
to sit under this clear sky
soaked with stars.
Dewdrops can be seen on grass
in this city also, if one goes outside.
I want to be a drop, howsoever small.
There's so much purity, selflessness,
devotion in water. Cleaning every strain,
retaining all life, it's yet unaffected.
And there are many more reasons
to feel happy-
I ate an apple, as sexy as red.
I feel like an owl as my neckpain has left.
I ran in hockey fields for an hour
and thought if I could shave
in cold streams of sprinklers.
I am not a stubborn old man
who would sit on his butts.
I know to bend, I know to stand,
I know to walk.
And yes, I learned how to kiss myself
by curling a lip inside
and rolling tongue over it, smoothly,
titillating continuously.
It does make me feel happy
about myself
for what I have always been
being a splendidly splendid man
like a dream.
